Day 294

I listened to Guided Meditation – Blissful Deep Relaxation before sleep last night. Although I’m not sure how much I did before falling asleep. I know I woke hours later to take the headphones off and then before I knew it, morning was here. We got up around 8.30 am but I woke up with a headache, so it wasn’t a good start to the day.

I think feeling positive that I was over the sickness was…just being positive. This headcold seems to be lingering and causing me all worlds of problems today. The headache really hasn’t lifted and it’s making me feel like I’ve been punched in the face. I tried to get some extra rest while hubby was out doing the grocery shopping but someone knocked on the door not long after he left and Homer dog spent the rest of the time barking at every little noise.

Once hubby was back home I worked up a very quick Puddles cartoon. It’s cute but not what I had intended for today. Hopefully I can use my original idea at a later date.

In today’s Adventures of Arthur Puddles we find him trying some green tea for Hot Tea Month. Now that he knows how wonderful tea is, he can’t wait to throw a tea party.

I finished the afternoon with some smiling, some French and I watched a big handful of watercolour and baking videos on Youtube. Not my best day, not my worst day.

I hope your day has been filled with happiness and good health. Take care.

Day 175

I woke up on time and felt excited about the day. I spoiled myself with some casual games and coffee and waited for hubby to scurry off to work. Once he is out of the house, that seems to be the official start of my day.

It took too long to get to working out but eventually it happened and I pushed myself pretty hard. I feel like those two weeks of sickness really set me back when it comes to working out. Things feel harder than they should and my body is just tired. Bleh.

Next it was time to tackle the Doodlewash – September 2019 prompt; 20. Bricks. (I know I missed one and I’ll share it after this.) I felt a bit disappointed that my first watercolour adventure would be bricks.

When I searched for some inspiration, I found so many amazing watercolour bricks on gorgeous buildings. Just wow!!! I didn’t want to copy somebody else’s painting so I found a reference picture of a building front with bricks.

Before today I had not used watercolour pencils. I wasn’t sure how to use them. I coloured a little, then added a little water. I kept repeating the process until I had something I was okay with. I then finished the line work with greyscale ink pens.

Doodlewash – September 2019 on Three Peas, One Pod

Working with watercolour pencil is so interesting. The colours are a lot different from the original colour after you add the water. It took more water than I expected. I need to add more layers of colour in my next attempt.

As I mentioned I had skipped posting about the Doodlewash – September 2019 prompt; 19. Tea. I sketched this on normal paper and coloured it in with watercolour pencils. I didn’t use water.

I finished the day with some lazy French. I worked through some of the ‘Restaurant’ level and got a lot of it right but mainly because they’re very close to English words. More practice, more practice.

The day was mildly productive. I really want to fit more things in but I waste a lot of time thinking. If life changing was a job (and it kinda is), I’d be fired. Maybe I should keep that in mind when I set out on tomorrows tasks.

I hope your day has been enjoyable. You’re a wonderful person, with a fantastic smile.
