I went to bed a little early but woke around 4.30 am. It took too long to fall asleep again and when 7 am came around it felt like I hadn’t slept. I got up and stared over a cup of coffee and then I stared over another cup of coffee. Eventually I pointed my stare at my computer and got to French practice.
French went pretty smoothly, except for one timed run where I only got four right before the timer ran out. I can only imagine I got distracted. I had a number of perfect timed runs and got to 200 xp points in about 30 minutes.
Next it was time to workout. I really wasn’t feeling it today and you can tell. It took me 34 minutes. I feel like it was a good workout, just uninspired.
I hate to say it but I am feeling flat. I have so many reasons to be happy at the moment and they are having a hard time breaking their way through the doom bubble. There is no particular reason I feel unhappy either. It just feels, doomish, with bouts of tears. It’s making me look at myself in a really negative way. It sucks.
I tried to get past the feels and got onto today’s drawing challenge topic; a coffee/tea cup. I feel like what I ended up drawing could be used for either. I found a tutorial; ‘How to Draw a Cup – It’s Important‘ and opted for the second cup. It looked so much easier than it was. A very good lesson though.
I took some photos of all our little plants yesterday and thought I would share their progress. Honestly, I’m not sure there is any. All the stuff that should be happening is under the soil and the stuff happening above soil, isn’t very encouraging. I still enjoy taking photos of them or even singing to them. For all my gardening stuff, check out; Three Peas, One Pod.
I’ve been a bit obsessed with Quick Draw with Google. It’s like playing Pictionary with your computer. Sometimes you wonder about its guesses but I bet it also wonders about some of my attempts.
The afternoon started with some housework and lunch. Then quickly moved into nap territory when I felt a headache coming on. When I was awake again I spent some hours socialising. For the most part it was good.
I hope your day has been filled with happiness, good times and encouraging words. I think you’re marvellous, like a super hero!
I woke up just before 8 am and stared at a really strange animated movie on TV. I didn’t feel like much else but picked up my knitting and thought I’d knock out a few rows while I decide what to do with the day.
It was around 1.30 pm when hubby pointed out the day was half over. I was sort of shocked. It had only felt like a couple of hours had passed. I got a lot done on the beanie. I’ve only got about 15 rows left to do before I start on shaping the top of the hat.
By late afternoon I was ready for a nap. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve indulged in an afternoon nap and I loved every second of it.
Once being awake had reclaimed me I did a little French. I’ll spend the next week working on the ‘travel’ words and hopefully start on a new topic the following week.
Hubby finally planted the leek long after the sun had set. I still snapped a couple of quick pics. Fingers crossed it’ll grow big and strong. It’s done pretty good on the windowsill so far.
When I was younger I was heavily into rock and grunge, with a splash of pop. The pop music would have been the mainstream music of the time.
Now my music tastes have chilled a lot and I’m loving indie. In saying that, if I like a song, I like a song. There are songs that I adore that ride long and proud on the music charts and would be considered mainstream.
Overall, mainstream music really isn’t my thing but what makes it mainstream is that LOTS of people do enjoy it. If it puts a smile in your heart then I’m glad someone is making it.
A new week is about to start and I’m going to keep on with the workouts, creatives and learning. It sure is a nice way to live. If you’ve missed my drawings, check back tomorrow!
It was a late start today but the sleep in was very needed. Hubby and I were pretty bad at getting to bed on time during the week. I blame cricket. I don’t watch it but hubby does and you don’t really have to twist my arm to stay up. This week will be different, I just know it.
The plan was to get the kitchen finished but we were missing a couple of key cleaning supplies. So we went about doing normal housework instead.
For this week’s Let’s Do 52 – 52 Week Photo Challenge picture, I had to snap something ‘close up’. I decided to use the freshly knit bunny, that I made for my dog Homer, as the focus of this shot. I set up the cute little scene outside and got snap happy. Special thanks to hubby for holding some of the flowers.
We have been growing two leeks on the windowsill. One has been growing for about three weeks, the other just over a week. Today it was time to plant the first one. The second one will probably be ready for soil next weekend. It’s not the best time of year for planting new things but we wanted to try anyway.
I was thrilled to see a comment on yesterday’s post from Eilidh Horder, in French. The best part was, I knew what it meant. What an encouraging feeling before diving into another French lesson. I did about 30 minutes, working on the ‘people’ subject. I still get a lot wrong but a number of the words are already stuck in my brain after two days. Woo. I’m feeling encouraged.
Lastly, here are some tasty tunes to fill your face with good feels. Enjoy!
