Day 387

I didn’t get a very good sleep last night. Homers new wake up time seems to be about 6.30 am. Which wouldn’t be terrible if I went to bed on time. I did not go to bed on time last night. Nights have been a bit hard on me. Morning was also hard on me. I know I had a restless night sleep, one nightmare and my overactive brain was overactive.

Once hubby had disappeared to work and Homer disappeared into his daily sleeping spot, I briefly considered going back to sleep. A few minutes later I was in the living room and I was working on a Puddles. In my catch up effort I managed to get… *drumrolls* four Puddles drawn, inked and coloured. OH MY!!!

In today’s Adventures of Arthur Puddles we find him getting creative for National Craft Month. He worked on a scrapbook page about the time he was in The Wizard of Oz. Douglas dog ate his bone happily.

In today’s Adventures of Arthur Puddles we find him dreaming of the time he took a walk in the park. That was the best way he could celebrate Take a Walk in the Park Day while in lockdown. Douglas dog was dreaming of the bone he left in the park.

In today’s Adventures of Arthur Puddles we find him and Douglas dog dressed up as working crayons for National Crayon Day. They set up a video chat with Rosie and entertained her by drawing a mural on a sheet they hung on the wall.

In today’s Adventures of Arthur Puddles we find him observing a 5 minute silence, while holding a 5 wick candle in honour of Childhelp National Day of Hope. Arthur is joining the fight against child abuse.

By the time I got through the Puddles it was just after 3 pm. I had planned on using Jazza’s Arty Games (I downloaded it!!) for some drawing inspiration. I had a brief look at some challenges and it looks like it’s going to be so much fun to draw such random prompts. I also have a watercolour video open in another tab. I wanted to other art but I also wanted to get a little afternoon rest.

Hubby will be home tomorrow because of ANZAC day. I’m still going to do my best to get some more Puddles done. I might even challenge hubby to a drawing competition with the help of Jazza’s Arty Games.

I hope your day has been filled with sunshine, smiles and something sweet. I know that times are tough for everyone right now and you gotta grab on to any little light. Stay strong, stay safe and stay home.

I'm on a life changing journey to 40. There will be ups, there will be downs. I'm like a roller coaster but with more agoraphobia.

  1. It’s strange I haven’t really been having that many bad dreams lately- even though the # of cases in this area has started to explode 😳. I had actually moved through the stages to a state of acceptance last week- and then all these covidiot protests started last weekend- and Lo and behold I’m back to anger . Well I’ll work through this. Anyway- another great pep talk- and I’m glad you are feeling better and at least able to function enough for arting. Stay safe🤞😷

    1. Yeahhhh I saw a story on Youtube about the protests. That made me a lil angry too. The sooner everyone does the right thing, the sooner life can return to some sort of normal.

We’ve been very lucky here and seen a huge decline in new cases. A couple of states are talking about loosening the lockdown rules, although my state won’t be just yet.

Hope things start improving in your area. Stay safe and creative. Take care. =)

      1. Australia and New Zealand seem to have this mess under control- les états not so much- and I think it’s going to get a lot worse here over the next few weeks- and the fact that possibly 1/3 of my fellow “adult” citizens have the mental age of bratty 5 year olds does not help 🙄. Thanks and stay safe 🤞

      2. Hopefully people can start seeing the positive effect of the strict lockdowns in other countries and all do their part. Really got my fingers crossed for you guys!!

Hope your week is going well. =)

      3. Merci- but I think it is to late for us- so it looks like I will be wearing a mask on the rare occasions I leave the house for the foreseeable future 🙄

      4. Luckily yes- I’ve been making a point of tromping around dans la foret behind my Moms place as often as I can. I’ll be doing an Inspirations post here soon with what I’ve found on my treks for those of you stuck indoors 😊

  2. I figured out I seem to have nightmares/restless sleep when I eat junk before bedtime. Unfortunately, with social distancing restrictions, hubby and I have been watching more TV than ever. And snacking while we watch!

    1. Yeah, late night snacking can cause restless sleep. Hubby and I have been pretty good with that lately. No snacking or late night eating. Haven’t always been good in that area though! Hopefully the changes will improve my sleep eventually. =)

Thanks for the comment. I hope you and your family are staying safe and happy. Take care. =)
