I crawled out of bed around 10.30 am, sat down on the sofa and sighed. I was clearly not feeling the day. In fact, everything in me just wanted to give up. I know I’ve made progress but there is still such a long way to go and some days, that feels overwhelming.
After about an hour of hopeless staring, I knew I had to get to art-ing. I had done a rough sketch for the Inktober prompt; 7. Enchanted yesterday and it was time to do the ink part. I created this design with a little inspiration from a ‘love potion’ bottle on Pinterest. I always wanted to do spells when I was a teenager. I was never that enchanting.

Next I worked on the Doodlewash prompt; 5. Barn. I had noticed a theme to the ones I’ve already done and that theme is food. (I know you wouldn’t eat the fish I sketched but you can eat fish.) So I am setting myself a new challenge within the challenge and going to do all the prompts about food.
With that in mind I did a Google search for ‘food + barn’. I eventually happened upon a photo of a fruit topped dessert which you can get at The Foodbarn. Bingo! It is somewhat barn related and it’s what I chose to do. Just between you and me, if you’re ever in South Africa it looks like a wonderful place to eat at.

There wasn’t much day left once I’d finished the art-ing, so I just did some tidying and cleaning. Now my craft area and computer area feel much more organised. Hopefully it’ll help me refocus. I can do it!!!
I finished the day with a brief French revision. I will start a new topic tomorrow. I’m also going to try harder tomorrow. At the point where I want to stop or give up, I will do one more thing.
We are finishing the day by watching; Jerry Spinger: The Opera.
I hope you’re having a wonderful day and feeling good about yourself. You’re magnificent and special. The world is a better place for having you in it. Smile. =)

Jerry Springer the Opera? Now this I have 2 c! I used to religiously watch the Jerry Springer show – along with Maury Povitch as a youngster – and I think it played a major part in the development of my world view- perhaps not for the best.

I used to love watching Jerry Springer when I was younger. The opera was…. not what I was expecting. xD

Hmm- I’m sensing “not what I was expecting” means not good.
