Day 148

I woke just after 7 am and took my sweet time getting out of bed. Once I did, I sat down at the computer with a cup of coffee, opened Duolingo to start my French practice, then proceeded to do nothing but sip coffee.

Hubby waltzed off to work and I almost got to my workout on time. Wifey and I chatted for a little before she went back to bed. She has been waking a little too early while trying to get used to our timezone. I worked out quietly and got through it in about 24 minutes. My heart rate was strangely low at the end of it.

Then I was determined to get two sketches done. I started with yesterday’s Doodlewash – August 2019 drawing prompts; 13. Trees + 28. Flowers. I didn’t want to draw a whole garden so I asked Mr Google for some advice. The cherry blossom tree was a common answer and that’s what I decided to draw. It’s an overcast and rainy day, so I found it hard to get a good photo.

I then spent the afternoon working on today’s sketch but I haven’t even come close to finishing. I’m still having a lot of trouble getting the right perspective on it. I’ll try again tomorrow. I think my failed sketch attempt has left me feeling a little flat. Bleh.
