Day 144

I woke up around 7 am just like normal, even though it’s the weekend. I didn’t bother going back to bed because I just had to know where wifey was. With my fingers crossed, I sat down at the computer to see if her first flight left on time. Success!

Next I checked my mail to see a message from wifey’s mum, and found more good news; wifey was safely on her way to LAX. A couple of hours later and I was chatting to wifey while she waited for 7 hours at LAX. At the time of writing this post, wifey is now 3 1/2 hours into her trip into Sydney, Australia. She is almost home. (11 hours away from landing.) Huzzah!!

I may have cheated on today’s Doodlewash – August 2019 prompts; 10. Clock + 25. Lighthouse, by doing the drawing yesterday. Interestingly when I Googled both words, I found that a lot of lighthouses actually do have clocks on them. Until yesterday, I had no idea that was a thing. I took reference from this German Lighthouse.

Quick question for people who sketch on paper: Do you take photos of your work or do you use a scanner to get it onto your computer?

I spent my morning as I normally do, running dungeons in WoW. It was pretty fun and a great way to keep myself occupied while waiting for wifey.

Hubby was the true hero of the afternoon. He got lots of housework done. Thing are looking pretty nice for wifeys arrival.

My afternoon was spent groaning about how much pain I’m in. This is the worst pain I’ve had in many months. I have a new knee pain from working out but mostly it’s the same old chronic pain I’ve dealt with for the last 8 years. Even walking has been hard for me today. Ouch.

I did stop complaining long enough to work on French. I finished the new word group today. Still can’t work out the student/studying thing. I will spend the next week doing practice runs.

I hope this week brings you new experiences, new ideas and someone special to put a smile on your face. I think you’re fantastic by the way.

I'm on a life changing journey to 40. There will be ups, there will be downs. I'm like a roller coaster but with more agoraphobia.

  1. About that question. I tried taking photos before, but it just doesn’t feel right unless I go ahead an scan it. Plus you can change the format more easily I think.

So it sounds like things are about to get exciting. I hope you have an awesome week!

    1. Hey! Thanks so much for the input. I feel like a scanner would be much more useful for getting sketches onto the comp. xD

Yes, some exciting times ahead. I hope you have a fantastic week and thanks for commenting. ^^

  2. Since I got my first iPhone I have had no need for a scanner- and with the IPhone 7 I have now I can get perfect reproduction s of my work with minimal effort and even in poor light. It was a very nicely early Xmas/bday present 🙂.

    1. Oh nice. I can honestly say I’ve never tried using my phone to do the job. xD Of course, I also don’t have an IPhone 7, so it might not be my best move but could still be worth the try.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. Hope you’re doing well. =)
