Day 140

Today started as one of those days where I just didn’t want to start the day or continue the day or participate in the day at all. Hubby made me an extra strong coffee (by accident) and I devoured it. It gave me enough energy to start French.

The French learning was challenging this morning. I’m struggling to see how to differentiate between ‘Ils’ and ‘Elles’. Both words mean ‘they’. Plus they sound the same as ‘Il’ and ‘Elle’ (meaning ‘He’ and ‘She’). Duolingo assumes that I’m smart enough to work it out based on what else is in the sentence. Well Mr Duolingo, you my friend, are very very wrong. If I was working from a notebook, I would have flung it in the air out of frustration at the end of today’s practice. I figured my computer would not appreciate the same treatment.

Once hubby had slow shuffled off to work, I slow shuffled off to workout. I pushed myself pretty hard but I was unfocused. I’m not sure if I didn’t do enough or I end up doing too much. My body is screaming that it was too much.

Then it was time for today’s Doodlewash – August 2019 prompts; 6. Monument + 21. Grass. I needed some inspiration for the monument and found it here. I wasn’t feeling very creative today but I did the best that I could.

Early afternoon was filled with housework. I think there was more to do than I realised. I know things don’t need to be perfect but I sorta want them to be for when wifey gets home. Two more sleeps to go. Yippee!!

I then started work on tomorrow’s sketch. With wifey coming I thought it might be a good idea to get a little ahead. I have a very basic sketch that will hopefully fill out to be something amazing.

I also napped. I support people who nap.
