I woke up just before 6.30 am and while I wanted to turn over and go back to sleep, I knew it was time to get up and start things. My mission for the day was to paint, so I had to get a lot of things out of the way quickly. I’d settled on an over ambitious photo for my painting. I just loved it so much, I had to try.
I started with today’s drawing topic; patterns. I’d done a quick google search the night before and had picked a zebra stripes pattern. The sound of the pencil scratching on the paper was all that could be heard and soon I had some lovely stripes. Zebras are so wonderful. I used this photo as my reference.

Then hubby woke and made me a coffee. He’s nice like that. While he showered I got through my French practice. It was another good day of words.
Once that was done, hubby and I worked on a meal plan and shopping list for the week. Lots of yummy things coming up and very economical. I can’t wait to start sharing food ideas.
Next on the day menu was a workout. I’ve been pushing myself harder the last two days and I’m feeling it. Muscles are staying sore for longer but I know it’s a good thing. I think another month of this and I’ll be ready to add more time or replace the current workout with a harder one.
Finally it was time to paint. I decided to paint a photo of ‘Les Planche Des Belles Filles’. It’s where today’s Tour de France race will finish.
The reference photo is so amazing but I disliked myself just a little bit for picking such a hard one.

That was all I stuffed into my day. It felt like a tasty feast of creative.

Day 19: What is your biggest regret in life?
My biggest regret is that I didn’t make the changes I’m making now much earlier in my life. In the time that hubby and I have been together, I could have finished a 2 year journey, seven times. It also would have been nice to make my parents proud. Now they’re gone, that’s something that is never going to happen.
Tomorrow is going to be a bit of a different day. Light on the creative and heavy on the gaming. The next three Sundays will be gaming free and filled with housework.
