I woke up, sipped coffee and did my French lesson. So proud that I got it out of the way so early this morning. I have the most trouble remembering the French word for ‘you are going’, ‘I am going’ or ‘he/she is going’. Other than that, I think I’m getting on top of the ‘travel’ words.
After a quick argument, hubby left for work. It was a silly argument. The type of argument one has after 15 years of being together. Although it was the fuel I needed to bust through my workout. I pushed so hard it made me hurt and I still hurt.
For my painting task this week, I took inspiration from the upcoming Tour de France, which starts in Brussels on June 6. I painted the Parc du Cinquantenaire. I knew this was going to be hard but it seemed easier than the buildings in the city. I found this wonderful photo and made my version of it.

Parc du Cinquantenaire on Three Peas, One Pod
Today’s drawing task; trees. I thought this would be easy and searched for a Cherry Blossom tree. The pretty pink flowers are so delightful, I thought it’d be a joy to draw. It wasn’t. After about 10 minutes of trying, I searched for something else. I found this tutorial on drawing a tree. Although my tree looks nothing like the one in the tutorial, I drew tree.

40 Day Drawing Challenge on Three Peas, One Pod
My day was taken up with these tasks and I didn’t even think of writing, knitting or doing housework. Tomorrow is another day.

Day 13: Where would you like to visit/live one day?
I would like to live somewhere in the countryside in France, on a farm, with goats in pyjamas. I’d settle for Akaroa, New Zealand. It’s got a French vibe, just like me. I’d also like to live somewhere with snow.
I’d like to visit anywhere I can get to by cruise ship or river boat. A floating hotel is my ideal way of visiting new places.
I’m looking forward to the end of the week, I don’t know why.
